What water-resistant means here
That is the manufacturer’s word and it means a shower rather than a downpour. The zips are not sealed. Do not treat it as waterproof.
On taking it through security
This is a wash bag, not an airport liquids bag. Liquids in hand luggage still have to meet your airport’s rules — at most UK airports that means containers of 100ml or less in a separate clear bag. This one is neither clear nor 100ml-sized.
