The manufacturer’s limit is 7 kg, and that is the first thing to check against your animal. UK airlines do not generally carry pets in the cabin — only recognised assistance dogs travel in the cabin, and pets to and from the UK travel as cargo through an approved route. This is a carrier for the car, the train, the bus, walks and the vet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

How it differs from the two expandable carriers

This one does not expand, and it takes a slightly smaller animal — 7 kg against the 8 kg the expandable pair allow. In return it is much lighter: 0.96 kg against 1.38 kg or 1.5 kg, and it folds to the same 5cm. If your animal likes more room once the bag is down, one of the expandable carriers is the better buy; if you are carrying it a long way, this is.

One-year manufacturer’s warranty on this bag.
