A soft-sided suitcase in nylon Oxford fabric rather than a hard shell. Softshell cases give a little, so an extra jumper goes in where a hard shell would simply refuse. The trade-off is less protection for anything fragile.

It is sold as a “20-inch” case, but at 59.5 × 36.5 × 25cm it is larger than the 55 × 40 × 20cm cabin allowance most airlines publish. We would not buy it to take into a cabin. Buy it as a small hold case for a weekend or a short trip, and check your airline’s own gauge if you plan to try.

It has no lock.
